Welcome to my webpage. Currently I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Department of Geography. My emphasis is physical geography, although I have a broad background in all of the subdisciplines. Within physical geography, I focus on Quaternary studies, geomorphology, biogeography, and soils. My main area of research is biogenic silica, which includes phytolith analysis (for the purpose of paleoenvironmental reconstruction) and biogeochemical cycling of silica in soils.
