Agastache rupestris(Licorice Mint)

agastache(47K)
Here is a reliable perennial for us that blooms in the late summer during the peak of the southward migration. This is not only a good plant for the hummingbirds, but we also enjoy the licorice aroma when we brush against the plant. This plant does not garner as much attention from the hummers as Salvia guaranitica or Monarda, but it does receive a moderate amount of use during the fall migration. Agastache is widely available from mail order nurseries or local nurseries.
