Honor Digital Print 2002

Truman Lowe

UW Professor Truman Lowe and John Hitchcock completed the collaborative print "Honor" for the UW American Indian Studies Program through Hybrid Press Wisconsin. The prints were presented to graduating American Indian Students in the 2002 and 2003 graduation ceremonies.

Professor Lowe "makes sawdust and likes frybread." The patterns of nature and how natural materials have been adapted to provide for succeeding generations of human beings, provide the basis of much of Lowe's sculpture. He exhibits regionally, nationally, and internationally, with work appearing in over 29 solo exhibitions and more than 70 group exhibitions. He has displayed sculpture in the White House Garden and was recently awarded a WARF Mid-Career Award.
